The Gardner Historical Museum was established in 2002 when a local group of citizens had the foresight and concern that Gardner’s history was being lost.  Today the museum has a 12 member board with officers and over 100 members and friends.  The museum which is a non-profit 501c3 organization operates on local donations, grants, and the support of local citizens.

Mission Statement:  The Gardner Historical Museum is a not-for-profit institution and museum whose mission is to promote the history of Gardner, Kansas and its immediate areas by collection, preservation, exhibition and education of the populace of all ages and backgrounds.

Vision Statement:  The Gardner Historical Museum of Gardner Kansas will be an asset to the city of Gardner, the surrounding community, businesses and organizations to help people encounter, explore and learn about the past.

Our Goal is to preserve our history and to increase awareness of the historical significance of our area and people.
