The Johnson County Kansas Heritage Foundation is hosting an informational meeting regarding a bid for ownership of the Shawnee Indian Mission, located in Fairway, Kansas. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 28, at 7:00 at Matt Ross Community Center. Holly Zane, a member of the Wyandotte Tribe, will be providing information about generational connections with the Shawnee Indian Mission. John Forbes, archivist and historian for the mission, will be presenting historical information about the Shawnee Indian Mission. This meeting is open to the public.
